Integration: Paypal
under review

1) The problem → I'm in a country where Stripe is not supported or credit cards are not widely used. (Croatia, UAE, Germany, Brazil, etc.). My pricing model requires one-time payments and basic recurring subscriptions.
2) Why is this important → I can't charge for my product or service without Paypal.
3) What will happen if this goes unsolved → I'll need to build something custom, manually manage/sync permission, or find another tool.
4) Possible solutions → Option to add Paypal to the checkout.

Same problem here in Chile! Latin American countries do not have an available payment platform to use un Memberstack as Stripe does not work here as well :( Paypal is the only option we can get our hands to for payment. It would open so many possibilities around the globe that it should be in your 2023-2024 integration roadmap

UP! It's a total dealbreaker for me regarding my European userbase, if you still want to be competitive against the future Webflow Memberships, that should be your top priority in my opinion

Any update on this? I'm checking out Memberstack for adding accounts and payments to the site I'm building, and not supporting PayPal seems like a huge oversight since Stripe is not supported at all in many countries.
It's not a deal breaker for me as I can't find any other platforms that make implementing user accounts and accepting payments as easy as Memberstack, but hopefully PayPal support can be added soon!

Seriously need this to come to fruition – I was running into this issue nearly 2 years ago with Memberstack. It may be a big endeavour from your standpoint but the fact is that your customers need it. More recently, I have a Youtuber client and we've been running a members-only service via MS. In the past 2ish months we've grown it from basically nothing to almost $40k/mo. He's been getting lots of messages from worldwide users expressing that the only possibility for them to pay is via PayPal. Although the growth has been great and all, we may need to switch platforms or come up with an alternative solution because we need to offer PayPal. It may not seem important to you, but I can assure you that it is for a lot of us.

Jake Morrison: Hey Jake! Totally understand and thanks for taking the time to share this. This is important to us as well, but we haven't gotten to this yet as a small team given other higher-priority projects on our list.
We'll keep this thread posted with updates when we do have a concrete plan around PayPal, but as of now, we do not. If PayPal is an immediate requirement for you, I'd hate for us to be a blocker from scaling your project so totally understand if that means looking at alternative solutions to move forward on your side. 🙏

Naitik Mehta: Guys I just can't emphasize it enough. Paypal is a dealbreaker, I can't wrap my head around this. I always search for alternatives. Do you know the culture in europe? People pay with PAYPAL. You miss out so much Money and new customers, this must be priority number one! If we don't grow our business, because you are blocking it, it is a lose-lose situation. People always ask me where Paypal is, they get turned off, we lose, Fix this immediately, I mean how important can it be on your list that people can pay MONEY! You can not say “Stripe” is the most used in the US. You can not act like Paypal does not exist. It is the biggest elephant in the room! 2 Years and nothing has changed! We do not care about the other things, if we don't get a client, then the client will never be able to care about your other issues. You are not following this up because the fees will be higher, and the margin is lower. Guess what, it is about the numbers of members and not the margin percentage about a single individual. Get it done or some day a better solution will show up and satisfy the core needs of us. New and current users will love to sign up.

Jake Morrison: Hey, can you offer some alternatives for me?

Still waiting this one to be implemented :(

Gita Adi Ramdhani: Hi Gita! This is a huge endeavour on our side, so it's something we're still exploring but no definite decisions on the roadmap about this yet. We'll post an update as soon as we have one, but do keep the feedback & thoughts coming! 🙌

We definitely need this as well. We're leaving our current membership software Memberspace because they don't have any other payment processors other than Stripe. This is stopping a HUGE percentage of sales for us. We have customers all over the world that aren't able to sign up because they don't have access to credit cards.
